BROEN A/S

30 percent shorter editing time when done in assemblies
PhotoWorks renderings can be used in brochures
Works fine with existing PDM-system

“SolidWorks offers best performance for money.”

THE CHALLENGE

BROEN A/S is one of the leading manufacturers worldwide of Ballofix ball valves, commissioning valves and equipment for the professional laboratory. The laboratory department used to design their products with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, but they wanted to make assembly-level configurations and produce professionally rendered images for marketing purposes. They also wanted to make the switch from 2D to 3D.

THE SOLUTION

Broen chose SolidWorks for their new 3D CAD tool and now it takes 30 percent less time to change an existing 3D model because the changes can be made at assembly level and they will immediately be reflected in all other drawings. Marketing material production has also become much more efficient with PhotoWorks to create renderings of SolidWorks 3D CAD models. The SolidWorks reseller Solid Design House has integrated SolidWorks and PDM software so that now all properties in the 3D CAD models can be searched and designers get a much better overview.
